I have called in sick and I am about to doss down again for a couple more hours' shuteye.

Suffice it to say that I shall be buying some imodium later to settle things down a bit; (you can work out why if'n you know what imodium does, and anyway, I can't actually spell the term properly, plus whio needs that information?). This has been creeping up on me for a couple of days now, and the full force hit last night.

Lovely.

I think that I must have picked up a bug from home, since it seems that my littlest niece has something similar, according to the phone conversation I had last night with Mum.

And before you ask: no it is not alcohol related, except perhaps in the abstinence therefrom. By Gad, it's jolly uncomfortable.

I shall be in Londres a bit later, and certainly this evening. Shall I bring a bucket? Or perhaps a cork?

I don't think the two are related as such.

Though the spag bol did provide ammo...

Imodium will slow things down, but if you're off work and can claim 100% of the bandwidth of a close-by toilet, it's far better to let nature take it's course - you'll get better quicker.

Grab a good book and plenty of bog-paper (or a good book and a copy of "The Da Vinci Code") and get it out of your system.

"toilet bandwidth" is a concept I shall now treasure and use at every opportunity.

Imodium is an old friend of this rumbleguts. Try pouring out a can of coke and leaving it for about an hour or so as well. Or if you are in a hurry and don't mind a mess shake it before opening. It's not a miracle cure but it will ease things a bit.
