It seems that the payoff for remembering a dream the night before is dozing off on the Tube and waking with a start at King’s Cross instead of Euston. Luckily this is only one station down the line, and interconnects with the Victoria Line anyway, so no harm was done. I could have ended up in the Land of Morden, where the shadows lie¹. As it was, it would have been embarrassing going through Euston for the second time had I met anyone I knew.

¹A little London jest: look at the Tube map and the most southerly station on the Northern Line is Morden. Most of you will already know this and wonder why I am telling you. Think of it as a service to my overseas readers.
