Too hot; too many people
Friday, December 30th, 2005 03:13 pmI've cracked. I had to move all the stuff between me and the radiator in the computer room. It is now turned off and the window open; there is a breeze forming between the computer room and the bedroom, and I am hopeful that in a half hour or so, I shall be able to close the both of them.
It will have to get very, very cold before either radiator is switched back on, I shall wear an additional sweater instead.
Meanwhile downstairs the place is filling up with people:
caffeine_fairy and
chomper99 arrived first, and then
maisiecat and Hayden sans LJ. There is a couple of blokes whom I don't think I've ever met and who aren't saying much.
colonel_maxim has bought up a vast amount of comestibles from Waitrose and there's no room to swing a cat.
I think I am better off up here in The Tower to be honest. After having a house full of people most of yesterday for the weekly role-play, I find myself suddenly feeling unsociable; maybe it's the heat from this damned central heating.
On the positive side, I have discovered that if you shine a laser pointer at Marvin the Paranoid Android in the twilight his head glows red.
