I have just watched the season 2 finale of Battlestar Galactica.

Once again, I am stuck because I don't want to drop any spoilers on those of you who are watching it on Sky, and who have most of the season left to go. Suffice it to say that the episode is longer than the usual 45 minutes, and for good reason. The series has a history of throwing up situations and leaving you to wonder how the hell they are going to get out of it this time, how it can possibly get worse.

I was worried for a couple of episodes that the writers had lost their way, but now I am happy to believe that they know what they're doing. But I really, really have no idea how they can possibly get back from this one.

Roll on season 3.

I will make one final observation, which gives nothing away: Bad Gaius. Naughty boy, no biscuit.

I don't normally go in for hyperbole but it was absolutely brilliant. I do like the way the series is continually redefining itself. BSG is the great white hope for Skiffy - as one of my mates said, it's better than Lost because it occasionally gives rather than just taking.

Only seen the first 4 so far but things have stepped up a notch, am awaiting delivery of others from my mate when he gets off his arse..

And yeah, better than Lost in my opinion.

If'n you've got a portable hard drive (USB by preference), I have the entirety of season 2 in avi format. No charge for copying it across...

I'm not sure I'll ask A. the annoying thing is that my mate has a pile of episodes for us but he missed one (called 'The Farm') and until I can find a way of getting it I can't watch the others. I'm going to see if Mogs can help but if that fails then maybe your idea might work. Thanks for the offer.

The device they use about 2/3rds of the way into the episode is the most breath-taking, daring innovative thing I have seen in a scifi series ever. Astonishingly good.

President Roslin's aide did, however, make one fundamental mistake. I shall advance my theory when spoilers are no longer an issue.

Oh, and by the way, next week we here in the US get Dr Who!!!

They're using a funny logo, though.

The Farscape-alike logo is the official Who Logo for the 9th Doctor onwards..

Nope not that one (which they're using on the website), but one that looks a bit (not much) like the Pertwee logo but has the O in Who outlined by an Ecclestonian silhouette. Odd, and just a tad worrying...

You could email me your theory, since spoilers are not an issue pour moi...
