This evening

caddymanTonight I promised myself no thoughts about writing.

caffeine_fairy, chomper99, bibliogirl, rotwang, and a number of people sans LJincluding Hayden and Maisie, Liz and Chris, Jane B, Carol (who actually is an LJer but God knows her nom de plume) and a chap in the corner whose name escapes me completely. Dave, I think... (sorry).
We hit the Chinese on Clapham High Street and decimated the duck population of South London. And much fun and frolic was had.
To the horror of those present, I was able to keep abreast of the footie by the simple expedient of having a mad Swede, resident in Stockholm, text me a running commentary and scores up date on the England - Slovakia game being played in Middlesbrough.
Isn't technology wonderful when it works?
When I get home around 11, I find thatpax_draconis has not only recruited probablyscotty and lupercal (may God have mercy on their souls) into the NWO writing team, he has put together his initial thoughts on the Rome Tribunal.
So I just had to type out a page of political possibilities, didn't I?
I refer the learned counsel to my opening sentence above.
The prosecution rests. May God have mercy on my soul.

Date: 2003-06-11 05:29 pm (UTC)Seriously, I liked the thoughts you posted back to the group in response to Ian's first doc - I am not quite ready to comment beyond - "I like it!", but also to ask "what happened to the downtime we were promising ourselves?"
Still if we didn't have NWO to write we'd be bored, huh? Are you about ready to restart your writing circle idea - I said I'd poke you after the event....
