Hmm...

Up early today, followed by a relapse into bed and getting up rather later than anticipated. The cold seems largely to have gone, but in pulling out the troops, has left a number of bronchial booby traps that are worse when I am lying down than while I am up and about. The upshot is that last night I managed several periods of good sleep, so I am not overly tired, but the key phrase is several periods, as I woke up at least once an hour to have a healthy and enervating hack which has left my stomach muscles quite sore.

Still, the entire series of coughs must have been the equivalent of a fair number of pull-ups and will therefore stand me in good stead on the muscle tone front. Not that you can see it behind the flab tone, (less the six-pack, more the party seven, these days)of course, but hey, every little helps. (Ooo. Tesco1 moment, there).

Since the subject cropped up yesterday, as an observation from [livejournal.com profile] ellefurtle, I am now wondering if I have a ritual for putting on my shoes. It was observed that many people do. I have no idea, I just put them on. Or do I?

At the time, see, I'd put my left boot on first and the question arose as to whether I always put the left one on first. I have no idea. It did occur to me to take them back off and wander about a bit before putting them back on, but of course, I'd be thinking about it then and that would influence the outcome. So now I have to devise a way of not remembering to think about it, but at the same time not forgetting to record the order directly afterwards to see if there is any pattern. I have to think about it without thinking about it.

These paradoxes task me.
