According to The Times the pooch will be called Trigger.

No news yet on the casting of Wing Commander Roy Rogers Guy Gibson.

This has got me thinking.

O wonder what other historical figures, pets and events do the 'PC thought police' now require us to chance in order to be acceptable to modern sensativities. I can think of one Joseph Conrad book that will never see the light of day.....

Answers on a postcard.....

Well, if Trigger is going to be the pet, then surely the Wing Commander will be played by Del Boy David Jason.

How dull.

I'd thought Nigel was a much nicer name.

Or be really C21 and name it YoYoMoFo.
Of course only other pooches could call him this.

Will they change Guy's relationship with his cousin?

I am not an expert on 40s Britain, but IMO, "Trigger" doesn't sound like a likely dog's name from that period. You might as well call the dog "Bling"!
