Smoke screen

I have just washed a couple of paracetamol and codeine tablets down with a nice mug of coffee. Bit of a headache, see; I'm not sure that I am as fully over that damned cold as I thought, though the bloody air conditioning here in the office is probably not helping. I suppose paracetamol and codeine is something of over-kill for a slight headache, but it will stomp on my remaining post-cold symptoms, too, so not so bad all things considered.

The odd thing is, that since the Department closed down the smoking room and forbade smoking within a million miles of the place – joyfully ignored by we slaves of the weed – a bunch of us has been hanging around outside the building several times a day in as nonthreatening a manner as we can manage. We desperately need some rain to get the mulching process underway. The flowerbeds outside are getting a bit full with ciggie butts.

I have noticed that smoking in the open air has done for my eyes – or is it that I am spending extra time in front of the PC, now? Either way, I have to rub my eyes before I can focus on something much past 10 yards away. So much for long sight.

I blame my declining health on the health Nazis. There's irony for you.

That didn't turn out so well.

I'll have to schedule in some more stopping time...

Smokage, no. A force-ten hair conditiony vent, no. A cold, no.

Blues deprivement, yes. Doctor James is on the casement, and prescribey a steaming course of Groove Pills, to be abstrudled through the lugholes in the early mortgage. And of course every afternoodle in gropious amounts also. Fit the blood course, flibricate the lungs and heart pumpy, and ear flappage most efficaciously.

Suggest you start with Bloody Waters, B.B.Thing and joyful Pound Dog Taylor and the Mouserockets.
