I shall be investing in one of these once I have checked my measurements (and had them sealed under a D-Notice):

This example is pre-distressed. I can distress the bugger myself, quite easily thank you very much, so I shall have it in black and let the elements age it for me. £220 including post and packing. Fantastic.

Anyone know where I can get a Kriegsmarine cap from?

Werry nice, that. Be careful, it may have unforeseen (or utterly predicted?) effects on Furtles. Leather is strange that way.

If you've got one of these, you can survive a leaky roof.

Turn the lights out, brew up acorn coffee in a tin mug and let the rain drip on you. Play a BBC Sound FX CD of explosions etc and you will get that entire U-Boat "Run Silent, Run Deep" thing going.

The jacket is yummy, but if you wore the hat too, you'd be followed down the street by such unkind noises as, "Where's yer boat, mate?", or comments about your periscope.

I don't think I could bring myself to wander down the street dressed entirely as a U-Boat captain.

Sadly, I do know some people who might...

Man the torpedoes!

would you dress as an STG-Boot captain?

i'll get one of those hats and make a photo-aluminum badge of this for it if you want:

it's the vaguely fascist version of my company logo for the alternate universe where i have both a goatee AND an eyepatch.

Fantastic!

You should do it. (The Athenaeum Club has a former GDR Vopo cap at its disposal...)!
