caddymanI don’t know why, but I am having great difficulty concentrating this morning. I just want to doze off at the keyboard and sleep. I occasionally feel like this in the afternoon, but never in the morning. I wonder if it has anything to do with the after effects of the cold/cough I’ve recently shaken off.
I think that I shall have to go for a wander down Victoria Street at lunchtime just to blow the cobwebs away. I want to price up a mini hi-fi system anyway. I am getting a little fed up with the CD player on the one I have playing CDs at any speed it feels like for several minutes until it settles down each time I decide to listen to something. It eventually behaves, but I just want something that works first time without all the bloody fuss.
The DVD Player in the living room is beginning to get choosy about the DVDs it plays, too. Most of the time it’s OK but now and again it throws a dickey fit and fails to recognise a DVD. The problem there is that the player I have, though elderly, is region free and finding a suitable replacement could well be a hassle. Not to mention the expense.
I wonder how strong I can make my next cup of coffee?

Date: 2007-02-13 01:06 pm (UTC)these are pretty good by all accounts and it's a step between HD DVD and normal DVD as it "upscales" existing DVD images into 1040 in case you get a HDMI enabled telly in the next couple of years. I'm thinking of getting one of these myself before taking the plunge with HD DVD or Bluray
