You will recall that the Athenaeum Club played host for a couple of days to an old school friend of mine, telemeister. Whilst it was good to reconnect and renew an old friendship, I feel it my duty to point out that seventeen years as an expatriate Briton living in California has not been without its influence on the poor lad.
