caddyman: (Severe Delays)

My Oyster card has mysteriously stopped working, which is a bit of a bind considering that it is an annual season ticket for 4 zones with an extra £15 on top to cover the occasional out of zone trip. Quite how it dies, I don't know, but the chip seems to have fallen over between Victoria and Whetstone last night. So now I have to fill out a form and wander down to the station to get a replacement.

Oh well, give me the opportunity to take my jacket to the dry cleaners at the same time, I guess.

This worries me. I had one bad experience where the card failed to register on a bus. There was plenty of credit on it, and it worked OK after that, so it was obviously the fault of the card scanner on the bus. But for a card to fail... it would really freak me out.

They were very good about it. Judging by the "Oyster Card Failure Form" I was given, it's obviously happened before. I was given a new one pretty much straight away (it's an annual season) and they took my word that it had an additional £15 on it for the occasional out of zone trip.

It's not often LU impress me, but the woman at the tube station was very helpful.
