For reasons too complex idiotic to relate, here are photos of most of the books held at the Athenaeum Club. All except the first picture, of course, which is my computer with Munkey sitting on the monitor.

It's all [livejournal.com profile] bibliovixen's fault. No, honestly.

You were warned:

Starting off with the cluttered bottom couple of shelves in the bedroom, containing an effervescent mixture of CDs, DVDs, books and hidden porn, we move to:

The bookcase recently added to the computer room. Plenty of room for expansion here. Note the TARDIS money box, Scully and the bloke from Sleepy Hollow.

Getting serious, we head for the living room:

Virtually all history books here, the mainstay of [livejournal.com profile] colonel_maxim's collection.

The Colonel's other big bookshelf in the living room. Note the picklehauber on the bottom right. I have colonised two or three shelves for books that are too BIG to put elsewhere.

The picture is truncated since the bottom two shelves are hidden by the futon sofa, which I couldn't be bothered to move. They're covered in books, too. This is the primary bookcase downstairs of Yours Truly.

Further written goodies from my collection. Note that valuable future book storage space currently acts as home to Bill the Cat, Doc Ock, Catwoman and various other ornamental objects, including Orinoco Womble and a suicidal teddy bear.

Behind the living room door, hidden from view. More books and a static lamp.

On the landing, just in case you need a read on the way in or out of the flat. To the left we see spilt liquid on the door to the electricity meter. In descending order of probability, coffee, beer, ichor, blood from stones.

Books, games and replica pirate hats, military caps and antique weaponry. Note the collapsed shelves on the right. Too many books in times past. This is how we fill the dining room.

More book storage in the dining room, looking through into the kitchen.

The floor needs sweeping, but it is cunningly dark in this photo, so you have to take my word for it.

It occurs to me that I have forgotten another bookcase dedicated entirely to books in the living room, but I will have to treat you to that at another time since I am charging the battery in the camera right now and anyway it's down three flights of stairs. For the benefit of [livejournal.com profile] bibliovixen, I should point out that similarly named [livejournal.com profile] bibliogirl and [livejournal.com profile] rotwang, once the building work on their abode is finished, will be able to knock this collection into a cocked hat. Their collection is massive, reaching Alexandrian proportions.
