Tonight Victor von [livejournal.com profile] bytepilot played with the innards of our dead telly and then passed electricity through it.

AND LO! There was life, though as yet whether there was enough life for us to watch programmes on it, we do not yet know. Tomorrow, [livejournal.com profile] colonel_maxim, [livejournal.com profile] ellefurtle and myself will transfer all 90kgs of the brute to its place of power and plug in the aerial. If it continues to work, we shall then apply superglue and gaffa tape to its wounds...

It is just possible that the 36" widescreen telly dream will happen, albeit a little battered.

Muh hah haaaa...

"Look! It's moving. It's alive. It's alive... It's alive, it's moving, it's alive, it's alive, it's alive, it's alive, IT'S ALIVE!"

I was thought the quote translated across rather nicely to reference the 'moving pictures'.

However, you may have inherrited a David Cronenburg-esque Telly.

...That would be interesting.....

Quite right. The Atheneaum Club's plans to survive the apocolypse involve kidnapping him and ensuring he keeps everything working!
