Facebook Scrabble

For all that I can't find any real use for Facebook, unlike the grumpier souls on mt friends' list I am still maintaining a membership of it. By having it import the public entries I make here, it gives friends who don't use LJ the opportunity to catch up on the pointless ramblings I tend to write. In addition, it is useful for playing Scrabble, which of all the applications on Facebook is the best.

Unfortunately, in the games I am playing at the moment, I am being stuffed. Whenever I have played the game with proper pieces and on a physical board, I have generally acquitted myself reasonably well. The last time, for instance I was able to use all my letters on the first go, gaining a rather spiffy bonus. I have not been able to replicate anything remotely like that on Facebook Scrabble so far and the letter combinations i pick up are truly astounding.

The main annoyance, however, is that I cannot use it at work. I find that large chunks of Facebook use (presumably) java and that is blocked on my office PC.

Ah well, I shall keep going. In one game at some point, I shall be able to show off I am sure.

If I plug away at it for long enough and my ego doesn't take a walloping in the meantime!

How do you get it to import LJ? How does it deal with friends locked posts?

You have to use the 'note' application. Just set it to import notes from your LJ. It only picks up the public, non-filtered ones.

Considering I have always loved the English language, and consider myself reasonably articulate, I have always been terrible at Scrabble. So, no Facebook, and certainly no online Scrabble, for me.
