I have to say that I'm in awe of Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda.

Now I may have missed something somewhere down the line, but I don't think so. Everytime I tune in, it's just that little bit worse than last time. I'm sure there's a story ark in there somewhere - they keep referring to it, but that seems to be an excuse for the annual end of season spectacular. There's no clear continuity between the episodes and I tell yer, if t'weren't for Lexa Doig.

I don't know what the old feller had in mind all those yeras ago when he came up with the concept (probably just the name), but I'm rather glad he's not around to see what they've done with it. Having said that, who knows what crap he might have made of it.

Let us take a moment to think on the character that was Wesley Crusher and shudder in appropriate horror.

In brighter news, Underworld hits the silver screen in about a month.

I have high hopes for a genre movie that pits vampires against werewolves and stars Kate Beckinsale as an elite vampire warrior clad in leather.

Stroll on.

Who'd have thought Lenny Godber's little girl would have grown up quite like that?

Nurse, the screens.

For the pursits amongst us, I think you'll find she's clad in PVC that appears to have been applied with an airbrush, yes.

I used to know Laura Bertram, who plays Trance Gemini. We were in the same choir. I think she's quite a good actress.

I've never watched the show though.

Unfortunately she's required to be so enigmatic on the show, you can't tell if she's any good or not.

On a completely shallow level, she is rather purty. ;-)

They're flying round space in a giant dildo. Who needs a storyline?

It's a very worrying giant dildo.

There's all them odd inverted spiky spider attachments.

I don't care if it is powered by a neutron reactor or whatever. Blimey.

Personally, I think you get as far as "Giant Flying Dildo" and you're pretty much as worrying as it's possible to get without special equipment...
