Busy morning. All those nasty little jobs that have just sat on the system gibbering to themselves are now cropping up wearing their ‘deal with me now’ overcoats. The trouble is, I send holding responses off and then queries to colleagues who unhelpfully wander up to me and hive me bits of paper, when what I really need is the same information in electronic format. People are slow in appreciating the requirements of the digital age.

I was pleased to hear that the (to use a phrase stolen from serratia) Asshat in charge of our locals management accounts team is moving on. My joy was short lived when I found out that he is being replaced by a new but much taller asshat.

Accountants should be boiled in oil.

Beyond that, it is strangely warm here in the office and I am developing a mild headache. I think I shall have to wander out at lunchtime for a breath of fresh air. The weather has gone very mild again all of a sudden. I likes it not; I don’t know what to wear at any point!
