An unexpected night's drinking in the company of DT, Pat At, Miss Clark and John G all sans LJ. I received a text message just after 6 asking if I was coming along; first I'd heard of it, but I went anyway as it was on the way home and I don't meet up with any of the bunch quite as often as I'd like.

Pat At, bless her, presented me with a proper Rizla ciggy rolling tin, some papers and baccy. This on account of me admiring the one she habitually uses about a 12 month back.

I've always liked the taste and economy of roll-ups but I am fabulously incompetent at rolling them by hand. A sample hand-rolled ciggy made by yours truly consists of a single strand of baccy through the paper with a blob at one end which rapidly becomes a white-hot ember capable and willing in its quest to burn holes in my clothing or more importantly me. And let's not forget the bits of anatomy targeted by said ember...

So by and large, unless I can talk someone into rolling the bugger for me, it's generally factory made jobs for me.

But no more. This little miracle of a tin holds the papers and filters if so required and has a spiffy little mechanism which rolls the blighters for you. Tis clearly magic, for the properly rolled ciggy pops up fully formed from the tin as the lid is shut.

So now I am able to make rollies of my very own and I have high hopes that it will cut down on my smoking through sheer effort. Probably not, but hopefully it will be cheaper.

Hurrah.
