Wedding photos you won't see elsewhere*
Monday, November 3rd, 2008 05:59 pmThe weekend was quite tiring, so we decided to take today and tomorrow off and have a belated weekend of our own.
Saturday saw us leaving the Carpathia and travelling north to Derby, first class, natch. Considering that I use the trains in this country far more than I appreciate them, East Midlands Trains aren't that bad, and travelling first class meant more room and more comfortable seats. By booking a month in advance, it meant that the entire return journey for two people was £60. Just about £15 more than a standard class single for one bought on the day.
The point of the journey was, of course,
karen_lilley and
fen_wolfchile's wedding. This went well and there were even three or four faces other than the bride and groom that I recognised. The wedding itself, held in the hotel, was mercifully short and secular and after an initial round of photos, we were able to disappear to the hotel room and chill for an hour or so before the reception proper got going.
Though I brandished my camera on a number of occasions, most of them are not worth putting up here, though a couple are, for one reason or another.

The signing of the register. Too far away in poor light, sadly. Note, however, the Demon Eyes of the Best Man and The Small...

This is what happens when you take a photograph of someone taking a photograph of others blowing bubbles...

And finally,
rinkyandmerlin catches up on her narcotic intake at a quiet moment later in the evening.
*Literally true, but misleading.
