Ooo... Cripes.

Me gnashers are aching and only a constant supply of codeine, paracetamol and/or ibuprofen is stopping me from howling at the moon. I've checked the bank balance and I don't think I can afford a trip to the dentists to get it sorted, so I can see the pharmaceutical companies' profits up in the short term. And what of the NHS dental service, you may ask? Show me a dentist who'll work for the NHS and I'll show you either a person swamped by workload or a person too incompetent to attract paying customers or both.

Pah. So much for Tony's health system reforms and the additional zillions of spondooliks sunk into the NHS for the benefit of accountants.

I often accuse [livejournal.com profile] romney of having a low to non-existent pain threshold, but I have to say that where toothache is concerned I am in no position to gloat.

Never mind.

Right now, as a result of encroaching tiredness, caffeine and la-la happy pills, I am sitting about three inches above my chair and in a delightfully pain-free zone. I now have to ensure that that continues until wakey time tomorrow morning so that I can get the requisite 6-8 hours of the old dreamless.

Have now booked tickets to see the 21st Century Schizoid Band at the Mean Fiddler on 31st October. Thanks to a bizarre situation whereby they only sell single tickets on the Mean Fiddler website, I had to go to Ticketmaster.co.uk to buy the three I needed. For some reason that means that the individual ticket price has been hiked by £4.08 for no very good reason as far as I can see.

Someone out there is making money and it's not me.

But right now I am too full of retail painkillers to care over much.

Go to the dentist, its worth it. Twelve of mine needed sorting but I've already had half of them done and most of the trouble is gone. May be expensive but sanity is worth it.
