Tuesday, January 20th, 2009 05:49 pmI have just had a rather long sneezing fit and temporarily run out of tissues here in Government Towers. I hope this is not indicative of a cold coming on; it’s a little too early to say: it could just be dust or something.
I managed to dodge the bullet last week when
ellefurtle succumbed to the lurgy for four days or so (which in itself is unusual). I hope it hasn’t caught me now after hers has cleared up. Since I gave up smoking I have got used to being able to breathe without having bubbles in my chest and I quite like it. It’s quieter when I want to sleep for a start. If I end up with lungs full of clag because of a measly and annoying little virus, I shall be most annoyed.

If you are still weakened from the first attack they really get you. Mr M and darling daughter both had a double attack and needed antibiotics to get them through the secondary bacterial attack - make sure you are eating fruit and veg and taking care of yourself cos the coating of tar in the lungs will be thinner now and less protective.
