So, Joss Whedon's latest offering.

An interesting premise, the Dollhouse and an interesting opening episode. It does display Eliza Dushku's acting ability very well - presumably that is related to Dushku's dual role as star and producer. It's also nice to see Helo Tahmoh Penikett in the genre but in a completely different role.



Probably a little early to say, after one episode, whether it's going to be any good, but it's certainly worth staying with it for a couple of episodes, I guess. Let's hope that the descriptions in the trade press that refer to the 'troubled' Dollhouse don't mean that it's cancelled before anyone can decide upon its quality or otherwise. It would be nice to have a new series with more than 12 or 13 episodes.

I initially parsed that as Eliza Dushku in The DollShouse, and assumed the (Pavel) Checkov show.

This never even showed up on my (geek)radar ! I'm not even sure what Dollhouse is about and a v. cursory look at Dollverse.com hasn't helped.

I was never that impressed by Eliza Dushuku myself, she just seemed the same as all the other beautiful teen/twenty something co-stars, no better no worse. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh - maybe I should rewatch Buffy.

However that woman on the far right in the dress.....is rather stunning !

What side was this on ? I've not really watched any tv for weeks now.

Oh my that's GEEKTASTIC ! and notyhing more or less than I would expect from Joss (yes I am amazing at everything on every level) Whedon !!!!

That woman on the Far right is 41 year old Bitish actress Olivia Williams she's stared in a load of TV shows and period dramas...but then she played the knocked down cyclist in the Sixth Sense, and reprised that role in Spaced !
After a stint on Friends (the brit eps) she appears to have been appearing in a mix of big screen blockbsters and naff tv movies......

She's a bit 'gorge'

Actually, she was Bruce Willis' wife in The Sixth Sense, Bill Murray's love interest in Rushmore and Kevin Costner's in The Postman. She also played the scottish doctor in X-Men III. If you get the DVD of A Knight's Tale, there's a deleted scene with her as Chaucer's wife.

I only know this because she and my wife are the same age and were actually pen-pals for a while...

Thanks for the correction......if she and your wife are still in touch, and if Ms Williams expresses her frustration over not being able to find an other half who has the exact mix of fencing and sculpting abilities.......you'd be doing me a great service by introducing us....
