Bloody marvellous.

The Tube strike is barely affecting the Northern Line so I had resolved to go in to the office - travel to Embankment and then walk the rest of the way. Except that I just checked the TFL website before leaving and discover that the Northern Line is part suspended between East Finchley and Archway because of a fire alert at Highgate. That means catching a bus to Archway, trying to get onto a severely disrupted Tube train that will be packed, or stay on a bus that will take hours, either option requiring a fair old walk at the far end. Because the strike is on, I expect (and maybe I am being unfair to the Northern Line drivers who have worked through it) that the current additional disruption will manifest itself in a case of 'sod it - I'll have the day off without going on strike'.

Well I have a bit of work left over from yesterday that I can do and I have emailed the office for suggestions on more.

I do not like my morning being arsed around like this: it makes me grumpy instead of merely grumbly.
