Anyone who’s interested might like to know that for the next ten week days, The Times is giving away Agatha Christie paperbacks – mainly Poirots, buy the look of them from the list:

Murder on the Orient Express;
A Pocket Full of Rye;
Five Little Pigs;
On, Two, Buckle my Shoe;
The Mirror Crack’d from Side to Side;
The Mysterious Affair at Styles;
Murder in Mesopotamia;
4.50 from Paddington;
Sad Cypress; and
The Hollow.

My nascent Agatha Christie collection – I started reading them only recently, if you can believe it – lacks all of these titles, so I shall be collecting avidly. Not hard as I buy the Times anyway!

I'll definitley have a look. I used to have the ones with really too lurid covers (by Fontana books I think). I like to see what the cover illustrations they might have come up with. (I would quite like Agatha Christie to be given the graphic novel treatment.)

Based upon today's issue of Murder on the Orient Express, they rae reproductions of the "Crime Club" editions from the 1930s or thereabouts. This has a gratifyingly 'pulp fiction' cover illustration.

You may be interested to know that Sherlock Holmes is being given the graphic novel treatment; you should be able to scare up some info on that through Google. I don't know about Agatha Christie stories, though.
