Anyone who’s interested might like to know that for the next ten week days, The Times is giving away Agatha Christie paperbacks – mainly Poirots, buy the look of them from the list:

Murder on the Orient Express;
A Pocket Full of Rye;
Five Little Pigs;
On, Two, Buckle my Shoe;
The Mirror Crack’d from Side to Side;
The Mysterious Affair at Styles;
Murder in Mesopotamia;
4.50 from Paddington;
Sad Cypress; and
The Hollow.

My nascent Agatha Christie collection – I started reading them only recently, if you can believe it – lacks all of these titles, so I shall be collecting avidly. Not hard as I buy the Times anyway!

How frustrating, I have just sent the last of a big collection of Agatha Christie books off to someone who asked for them on Bookmooch.com - do you fancy a few Ed McBain 87th precinct novels? I still have loads of those.
