An online World of Warcraft friend of [livejournal.com profile] ellefurtle is in hospital and as Guild Master, she decided to send a card from the online community, wishing their friend a speedy recovery.

This is where the Moonkin comes in. I am told that Druid characters can't heal when they are Moonkin and have to take tree form.

So that's the joke: oh, my aching ribs.

The original was sketched in pencil and then finished with water colour and ink. It is only A5 size so we can trim and fix it to the card. Moonkin are not easy to do quickly, you know: too many feathers. If you click on the picture a couple of times, it will take you through to a bigger version (but not too big).

Woh! Most steamingly excellent, Bry! How jolly nice of you to take your time to do this for someone. I salute you.

Nicely done - but you need at least another 23 to animate tham at a decent frame-rate!

It's already animated, but there isn't much movement on a glare. If you watch closely, after 25 seconds there's a brief twinkle in the left eye and the feathers ripple.

Hum, I'd assumed that was the effect of my medication, which seems milder than usual.
