Just three months aftaer announcing it was cancelled, ITV have commissioned a further 13 episodes of Primeval to be broadcast as two short seasons in 2010 and 2011.

The funding comes from ITV, BBC Worldwide and Germany's Pro-7 Network. The show will reunite all the series regulars.

The cheese is back!

I missed the last series and one of the leads seemed to disappear mid way through...

I hope he'll be back.

No, they deaded him.

But it is about time travel, so if a truck full of money arrives outside the actor's house...

Hannah Spearritt. Underpants.

So, so works for me. Licence money well spent.

It's BBC Worldwide that's funding it (ie the commercial arm) so no licence fee money will be spent on this and, indeed, assuming it continues to be commercially successful, should be supplementing the licence fee!

It's good to know that other people recognise this show as "Hannah in her pants" which is its codename round our way.

It seems that many of my chums are refreshingly shallow and driven by their hormones.

I think I approve. In this context at least.

I hesitate to repeat the above comments, but WHY? I watched as much as I could handle, and that wasn't much. I really did try.

I begged ITV for the time, but they would only offer it to me if I promised I'd spend it watching Trinity...

Hmmm. Mixed feelings. I enjoyed seasons 1 and 2 despite being a late convert. Season 3 though ... not so sure. It seemed to have lost its way a bit.

Not to say that I won't watch it. It's better than the BBC1 equivalents (Magic Boy at Grumpy Castle, Chavs Go Mad In Nottingham)
