As I type it's just coming up to 3pm and I've finished as much as I can do for today. In all, it's taken about 4 hours, including trips down to the kitchen for coffee to get eight chapters of the Housing Revenue Account Manual updated and ready for publication. There's still some work left in the beast - various authors (I only author chapters 4, 8 and 13) need to proof read the bugger, and then it has to be knit back into a single document, converted to PDF, have links inserted and then be published on the website - none of which can be done here, today).
I dread to think how long it would have taken in the office with the phones ringing and people wandering by with pointless and distracting requests.
The rest of the day is mine!
