Back in the Jug Agane

Lunchtime approaches on the first day back.

I don't feel madly stressed, but I am tired. I took ages to doze off last night, and although I seemed to get some good quality sleep, it wasn't for long enough. I have so far avoided the temptation to advance on the pub, and drink a few pints of muscle relaxant, and see no reason not to continue in that vein (i.e. avoidance).

It really doesn't feel as though I've been away, really. Never does on return from any length of break, does it?

A trawl through the 200+ emails awaiting my attention shows that not a one is from Human Resources in response to my requests for information. I now have to think up an alternative strategy.

I must remember to do some prescription-filling at lunchtime. And pay an overdue credit card bill which I'd completely forgotten. Oh dear.

Additional

Dear God in heaven. I've just been to Boots to get my revised prescription. The doctor doubled the dose of Ramipril. I didn't expect that to double the size of the tablets. These will need a knife and fork...

Would the long promised jar of instant hot choccie help?

I hope you'll feel a whole lot better soon. (hey, and Easter is coming up, so you'll have more days off again!!)..

what do you take Ramipril for if I may ask?

The whole heap of pharmaceutical goodness I have to swallow, of which Ramipril is but one, is for hypertension (high blood pressure)brought on by a combination of being a fatty and stress.

I shall be taking the opportunity of a week at the coast to try giving up smoking which, if successful, won't hurt the problem in the slightest. ;-)

The trouble is, that you don't actually feel ill with hypertension right up until the moment you keel over with a stroke... :-(
