Tuesday, November 16th, 2004 01:26 amRather belatedly perhaps, I have just watched Shaun of the Dead on DVD, having missed it at the cinema. As a great fan of Spaced, I was really up for the movie and looking forward to it.
What a let down. Nowhere near as funny as it likes to think it is.
Maybe I should have had 5 pints and a kebab beforehand.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. What a waste of an evening.

2. I think that for certain things, the relatively tightly contained structure of a 30 minute show work to their advantage. The more absurd, the more likely it is that I'm going to find it funny over the short term, but tiring over the longer term.
3. Spaced had more of the right sort of geek jokes for my tastes.
