Fondant

Oh dear.

I was feeling dozy again this afternoon. Not as bad as yesterday, but dozy nonetheless. Endless cups of coffee were not doing their job (this M&S stuff is a paltry strength 2, I prefer strength 4). So when I wandered out to buy another jar of coffee, I picked up a walnut whip assortment just for the sugar rush, you understand.

I shouldn’t have et them all.

I no longer feel tired, but I do rather feel a little bit bleh.

That is all.

The taste intensity of coffee has an inverse relationship to its stimulant content: flavour derives partly from the bean in question, and mostly from roasting it. The heat involved inevitably bakes out some of the caffeine and the darker the roast the milder -- phramacologically speaking -- the result.

I am jealous of your access to walnut whips, though. Do they sill sell the milk chocolate covered items with coffee-flavoured fondant, and does each whip still contain three walnuts?

Yes to the first bit, but no to the second; they have a walnut on top, but I can't remember the last time I had one with even a single walnut inside...

That's very disappointing. It was the thought of the deliciously bitter interior walnuts that kept me going through the over-sweet fondant.
