Does anyone know how I can stop the dial up connection popping up and trying to activate when I am surfing around on the web?

It's only just started doing this in the past day or so. I could delete it as I am on broadband via a router, but I am reluctant to do that as I like having the option available as a back up. I seem to recall that there is a way of telling it never to dial out, but I'm stuffed if I can remember how to do it - unlike the broadband connection it doesn't seem to have the option available simply to disable it.

Edited to add: I am running XP Pro

Jacket spud

It has taken an exchange of 12 e-mails to persuade the company that there was no way on earth that I could order my leather jacket from the web page: the maximum quoted size being one lower than I need and with no room for comments or anything.

Anyway, they have finally accepted an order by telephone and at a cost of £205, not the £220 quoted originally. Since I have a lardy tum to accommodate and want a jacket one size up on their standard, I shall have to wait six weeks.

I think I can manage that.

At long last, and though it is only in a one day game, England have beaten Australia. After the whitewash that was the Ashes Series I was beginning to wonder if we would ever manage it again.

Not marvellous, but one has to take the victories as they come. Anyway, I've been itching to use this icon for ages!

I think I may have just overdosed on Benylin; I feel a little bit woozy and this is supposed to be the non-drowsy stuff. My short-lived cold has gone, but the fall out has settled on my chest and I decided I was fed up with the rubbish cough I’ve developed; far better to do it properly for a couple of days and clear it. Hence the Benylin

Trouble is, I haven’t got any 5ml spoons directly to hand, so I guessed. I think I guessed too much. Poo.

Still, the coughing is coming along a treat and I have that cooking porridge feeling in my chest. If I can get that fob watch and chain up, I think I’ll be fine. No more Benylin for several hours though, me thinks…
