Lost in a logic loop

caddymanI think it’s time for me to bang my head on the table in frustration. Let me see, yes, I’ve thought about it again and it is.
Yesterday I posted up a couple of pictures of a leather jacket I have had my eyes on for a while. What I didn’t say was that I have been emailing the company that makes them for just under three weeks now, trying to extract information one tiny piece at a time.
They are quite friendly but decidedly unforthcoming.
The difficulty is this, you see. The largest size they quote on their website id XXL and I really need an XXXL (quite apart from my famously proportioned gut, I have a large chest and will continue to do so even if I lose weight). So, from the first tentative approach, the emails have developed along these lines:

9 January: “Hi, I have just seen the Leather Jacket on your website and was wondering if you are strict at keeping to the sizes you quote: the largest for the jacket is XXL, but I see that some other replicas are up to XXXL.
If not, could you let me know the approximate chest size of a XXL, please?
