Cigar Right, here's the deal. I have in front of me a pack of NiQuitin CQ 24 hour nicotine patches. I am carrying on smoking tonight, but tomorrow morning, I shall put one of those on instead of lighting up. Let's face it, previous attempts to quit the evil weed cold turkey have failed, so let's try the patches. I have a stress-free three-day weekend ahead to get me started and these things are supposed to help wean a body off nicotine gradually. Here's hoping. Now all I have to do is fathom how to smoke them. A pipe, maybe.

Rarely fewer than 20, not often more than 25. But that has been pretty much every day since 1978, I reckon.

yeah i can see why you need to quit. that's way too much.

when i worked at the TV station i smoked a pack of Lucky Strikes a day. after a couple months of that i said "fuck this. i like smoking but i want to at least give my weight a chance to do me in first!" and started only smoking hand-rolled cigarettes. it drasticly cut down on how much i was smoking.

my grandpa quit outright. no weaning no patches nothing. he claimed it was the only way to quit.

of course now he can't remember my name (calls me by his son's name, who by the way never visits him) and forgets to do things like leave the bed before using the toilet.

i'm going to continue my bad habit.
