The Itchy and Scratchy Show!

caddymanThe past couple of days have been deceptively warm and calm, but not overtly sunny. I suspect that this is why since the weekend I have developed an irritating itch on my right shin. Last night I daubed skin cream all over it and that helped quite a bit. The skin is very dry on my shins and I suspect that it probably the major culprit.
The skin was a bit blotchy, but not badly so, though that didn’t stop Furtle from fretting that I might have that ‘you know, the itchy rash thing that makes your leg drop off and turns you into a shambling hulk’. Well, I’ve been half way there for years, so I doubt anyone would notice. Anyway, I spent a couple of minutes directing cold water at the offending patch of skin in the shower and that helped even more, so doubt it’s life threatening.
It flared up a little in the office this morning (dry air on dry skin in warm office – there’s a pattern here, I think), so I nipped to Boots at lunchtime expecting to spend ages trying to work out what of the many salves and unguents would work best on my poor abused leg.
Good old Boots. Like something out of Repo Man they sell some stuff called Itch Relief Cream. Does exactly what it says on the box. I like stuff that tells it like it is.
